The project has been initiated by Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ Uranium Holding, forms part of Rosatom State Corporation mining division) and is operated by Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union PJSC (PIMCU, ARMZ JSC affiliate). This is one of the world’s largest uranium underground miners and the backbone enterprise of the town of Krasnokamensk in the Zabaykalsky Territory.

Implementation of this project will ensure that Rosatom’s requirement for uranium feedstock is met at a competitive cost, guarantee long-term efficiency after the reserves of the operating mines are depleted, and make it possible to export a portion of end products.

VEB.DV will allocate RUB 5 bln to the erection of the new production sites and capital mining operations required to commission PIMCU PJSC Mine No. 6.

The construction project is scheduled to be completed in 2025 and reach the design capacity in 2026.
