- Construction of housing for employees of the shipbuilding complex Zvezda
A large-scale construction project of a modern shipyard and social infrastructure for its employees is being delivered in the territory of the dockyard Zvezda and adjacent sites in Bolshoi Kamen Bay (and in the eponymous special economic zone), Primorsky Region.
Ships of any complexity, performance characteristics and designations will be created at the new shipyard, including those never manufactured in Russia before because of the existing limitations in launching and hydraulic installations. Already completed and equipped is a block of hull production and paint shops. Construction on the block assembly shop has commenced as well as the construction of utilities and infrastructure, including social facilities. Housing construction has begun in the sixth neighborhood of Bolshoi Kamen. As part of this project delivered with support of the Far East Development Fund, several contemporary neighborhoods are being erected with 5,700 residential units. The project with the Fund’s involvement is part of the comprehensive project of providing comfortable living conditions for more than 7,400 future employees of the shipyard.
The new housing will attract highly skilled workers and engineers to the shipbuilding cluster.
