The first russian eastern economic forum has kicked off in the russian port city of Vladivostok

The three-day event is designed as a platform for dialogue between international investors, the Russian government and countries of the Asia-Pacific Region.

A total of 4,000 guests, including 1,500 foreigners, are expected to attend the Forum.

More than two hundred investment projects worth over 70 billion dollars will be presented at the event.

CEO of “Far East and Baikal Region Development Fund” – Alexei Chekunkov – told Radio Sputnik that the Eastern Economic Forum and creation of a free port of Vladivostok will make it possible to expand economic and financial ties between Russia and Asian-Pacific countries.
